Michael O’Neill

Michael joined Signature Construction Group in 1993 as a Project Manager, bringing with him arobust background in construction. In his current role, Michael spearheads estimating and preconstruction, leveraging nearly 40 years of industry experience, over 30 of which have been with Signature. His extensive expertise makes him a trusted advisor to architects, owners, and representatives, known for delivering reliable budgets and insightful early-stage input.
Prior to his dedicated work with Signature, Mike served as a Senior Estimator at Herbert
Construction Company and gained diverse experience at Structure-Tone, Inc. as a plan clerk, estimator, field surveyor, and superintendent. His career began in Ireland with J.J. Rhatigan Construction Co. and includes diplomas in Construction Management from both The Galway/Mayo Institute of Technology and New York University.
Michael is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional and a New York City Licensed Construction Superintendent.
Among his notable achievements, Michael established Signature’s Stamford, Connecticut
branch in 1997, transforming it into one of the region’s premier firms before returning to New
York to lead its expansion into ground-up projects. His commitment to customer service is exemplified by a rapid two-day turnaround on pricing for a $25M medical project and his personal dedication during and after COVID, including onsite management of charter schools under tight deadlines.
Michael’s professional approach is characterized by his early start, often arriving at the office by 5:00 AM to take advantage of some uninterrupted time to focus on precon planning and budgeting, and his unwavering dedication to client satisfaction from pre construction through project closeout.
